The 2007 Shaw AREVA MOX Services Business Opportunity Conference and Job Fair was a huge success!

Vendors and job seekers crowded the Marriott Hotel in Augusta for the Shaw AREVA MOX Services Business Opportunities Conference and Career Fair.

Over 375 vendors attended the morning overview and breakout sessions in the afternoon for the Business Opportunities segment. Project President Dave Stinson and Procurement and Facilities Director, Paul Simons, provided the latest on how businesses in the area can get work with the MOX Project. Various work groups within MOX including Construction, Engineering, and Process Units were available in the afternoon for specific overviews and one-on-one opportunities for discussion.

The Career Fair held from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. was successful with a turnout of 470 interested applicants. Hiring managers will be following up on candidates they are interested in from the fair for further consideration of current and near-term openings in the Engineering, Process Unit Assembly & Test, and Procurement areas. Expect to see new team members on board soon as a result of the event.
